Okay so let’s break the ice and move on to the main topic. Here I have listed some reasons that can become a cause of urine-like smell:

The seat of the Toilet:

This could be considered obscene. As a result, I issue a formal warning of rudeness. The most likely source of the smell is under the toilet seat. Now comes the hard part, because if you haven’t cleaned up behind the seat before, you could get sick.

There is no way to bypass it now, so I will clean up and you may feel so uncomfortable. However, you need to complete the task. All you have to do is locate and loosen a few screws or something similar near the seat or lid.

The seat and cover are then removed from the porcelain bowl so that you can thoroughly clean your toilet. It is recommended to do this at least twice a year – and now, if you have not already done so.

The floor of the Toilet:

Sometimes, it is possible that smell is not coming from your toilet bowl but it is coming from your floor. Your bathroom floor should be clean, sometimes drops of urine fall on the floor and if you don’t properly wash out the floor then it will make a cause of the smell. You should be ashamed of your bathroom smells like urine.

You need to clean your floor, especially if you have boys in your home. You know very well boys are a bit naughty and they do a lot of fun all the time even in the bathroom. They also pee with their fun style and therefore sometimes they pee on the floor. That can cause a urine smell from your bathroom.

Bowl of the Toilet:

Don’t worry if your toilet still smells like urine after you clean it completely. A seal leak, which is placed under the toilet and seals the point between the toilet and the drain, is the most common cause of a persistent smell of urine.

The seal can be leaked due to improper installation or ordinary wear. Unfortunately, whatever is in the toilet can slowly penetrate the floor behind or under the toilet if this happens. Fortunately, a plumber can quickly replace this seal.

The silicon that connects the toilet bowl to the floor is another area where seals can deteriorate. This seal can also simply be replaced by a plumber.

Flushing of the Toilet:

After every time we pee in the bathroom, we just need to flush the toilet. And if we do not, then it becomes a cause of urine smelling from our toilet. So, if our toilet gives a urine smell then it is hard for us to go to the bathroom and sit in the bathroom.

Most of the time children forget to flush the bathroom toilet after they use it. Then being a parent, we must teach our child about it or we can keep an eye on our kids and flush the toilet after they used it.

How to Remove the Urine-Like Smell from the Toilet?

Now it’s to discuss the possible solutions of how you can get rid of this urine smell from your bathroom. Here are some possible solutions to this problem:

Urine Detection:

You can use a black light in the dark bathroom to detect the urine. This is the easiest way to check whether the pee is stuck on the floor.

Bleaching:

Bleaching is the best way to clean out your toilet. You can use strong bleach and it can be in liquid form or powder form. Try to do the bleaching process in the daily routine of your life. This will keep your toilet and bathroom germ-free and smell-free.

Toilet wax seals:

If you have bleached your bathroom wall, but the annoying pee odors persist, you may have a problem with the toilet wax seal. Wax seals are often long-lasting, however, they are not infallible.

And if there is a gap or the seal begins to move away from your floor or toilet base, this is the perfect area for the urine to collect and bacteria to reproduce.

Wash the Bathroom Walls:

Sometimes the smell is not coming from the toilet then we have to properly clean out the bathroom walls and the modeling very well. This will reduce or maybe finish the smell of the toilet.

If you have molding around your toilet, there can be urine stuck underneath the toilet, and then you need to properly wash out even from under the molding.
